MONETIZATION
SBLC & BG
An SBLC (Standby Letter of Credit) serves as a bank’s promise to compensate a beneficiary if the applicant defaults on their obligation, and it is often used in international trade and large-scale projects. On the other hand, a BG (Bank Guarantee) represents a bank’s assurance to pay if the client does not meet their contractual obligations, and it is frequently utilized in construction, trade, and project financing.
The monetization of SBLC and BG involves converting these financial instruments into cash or a credit line while maintaining the original guarantee. This process enables holders to access liquidity without having to sell assets or take on traditional debt.
